Ryan, Ryzee, Rhino, Rocky... a man of many names and many talents (depending on who you ask).

I had a sudden realisation the otherday that there is a very good chance that although you may have come accross me or my social media profile, you have no idea about what I do or how I operate my personal training buisness.

From a young age I've always been into health and fitness. Playing sport every hour of every day when growing up with a complete disregard for anything academic or remotely school based. Summers comprised of cricket and golf while the winters were dedicated to rugby and football.

As I got a bit older, competetive judo made an appearance and I started to compete at national events. Tournaments at Crystal palace in London and even a few away trips to european championships.

Fastforward to mid-teens and I knew I wanted to be in the health and fitness sector when I left school. I decided to leave school before completing my A levels and persued a B-TEC in applied sport science which would springboard me towards a university degree. I attended Southampton Solent University for 3 wonderful years and left a batchelor of Science with a degree in applied sport science.

When I left uni I completed my personal training agreee with Freedom PT at Tonbridge boys school and haver never looked back. I'd experimented with gym training and utilising my knowledge whilst training myself but decided I really wanted to help people whilst being fit, healthy and highly active. I was never going to have a desk job, however, the journey to being a fully booked personal trainer hasn't been an easy one.

Having been in the industry for nearly 7 years now, I'd say that the first five were dedicated to building the business from the ground up. Lots and LOTS of early mornings and late nights but it has been so worth it.

Oh and COVID. What a whirlwind three years that was. Gyms closed, no one working, everyone on furlough, no inital government help for the self-employed sector... What a nightmare. However, I'm glad to say we rode it out and we've only gone from strength to strength. No looking back now!

Moving forwards to the present day and I still absolutely LOVE every second of every session that I am a part of. Helping people reach goals they never thought they would reach, fixing chronic pain and increasing confidence or selfbelief, it has to be one of the most rewarding jobs out there.

My passion and drive has never been stronger and I know there will always be someone out there that may need help or guidance and as long as one person needs my help, I wont be stopping.

If this blog has intrigued you, or if you have been considering if for a while, I'll always be happy to hear from you. For more information on personal training and what we can offer or how we can help, get in touch now via email; Ryan@holmerunfitness.com or find me on social media IG: RCsilvesterpt__

I look forward to hearing from you soon
